Privacy and terms
Plain-language terms for businesses using Naibyte. Your written proposal sets out anything specific to your project.
What data we hold
For each business: account and staff details, your WhatsApp Business connection, products, orders and message records. For your customers: their WhatsApp number and name, the messages exchanged with your line, order details including delivery details they give you, and whether they agreed to receive marketing.
How it is kept
Each business only sees its own data, enforced on our servers and in the database, not just in the app. WhatsApp access tokens are encrypted. Naibyte staff access your data only to support you or fix a problem.
Who else sees it
Messages travel through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, under Meta’s terms. Payments go from your customers to your own M-Pesa Till or Paybill; we never hold your money. We do not sell data and do not use your customers’ details for anyone else.
Marketing messages
Campaigns only go to customers who agreed to receive offers, using a template WhatsApp has approved, after you approve the estimated cost. Customers who reply STOP are not messaged again.
Your plan and usage
Your plan includes a monthly allowance of outbound messages, counted when WhatsApp reports them delivered. Messages customers send you are free. Unused messages do not roll over. You are alerted at 70%, 90% and 100%. Extra messages are only charged if you approve them, up to a cap you set. When the allowance runs out, order, payment and account messages continue; other automated messages pause.
Billing, cancellation and refunds
The setup fee is paid before setup starts and is not refundable once work has begun. Monthly plans are billed per billing month by M-Pesa. Cancel with one month’s notice. If a bill is unpaid 7 days after it is due, we contact you before pausing the service. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice on WhatsApp.
Support
Support is on WhatsApp during business hours (Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM, Nairobi time). We aim to reply the same business day. Business plans get priority.
Export and deletion
Ask us at any time for an export of your products, orders and customer list, or for your data to be deleted when you leave. We delete it within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep billing records.
